Ken Ogata is an Assistant Professor at York University, cross appointed between the School of Administrative Studies, and the School of Public Policy and Administration.  Following a successful career in the public sector with the Alberta Government, first as a Senior Budget Analyst in their Treasury Board Secretariat equivalent, then as a Senior Advisor on Performance Measurement, he obtained his PhD in Business from the University of Alberta.  While his research interests span a variety of topics, including public sector performance measurement, organizational identity, stakeholder responses, institutional delegitimation, and Nortel Networks, the central theme to his research involves organizational change.  He has published on the Balanced Scorecard, the Hudson’s Bay Company, and the Meiji Restoration.
