Angela Francesca Wilkins
My name is Angela Francesca Wilkins, and I am majoring in Public Administration, with a specialization in Policy Analysis. I am passionate about equity, accessibility, and inclusion, and I hope to one day utilize my skills and experience to make the world a kinder, more just, and better place for those living with systemic barriers. My strengths lie in problem solving, complex analysis, relationship building, and communicating complicated ideas to diverse stakeholders.
I have a background from McMaster University in Political Science and extensive experience with program development, coordination, and management. I am grateful that I was able to go back to school to study at York University, in the School of Public Policy and Administration, and all I have achieved since being here. I was fortunate to successfully compete as a Policy Analyst with the OPS and receive extensive training in undertaking evidence-based research, participating in brainstorming sessions, analysing data, assessing risks, evaluating problems, and developing options and recommendations to inform policy development.
I am thankful to have had the opportunity to join the Public Policy and Administration Student Association (PPASA) because it allowed me to work with dedicated students who share a passion for public service and who each work very hard to make York University the best place for students.
