Ian Greene Teaching Award for Teaching Excellence

The Ian Greene Award for Teaching Excellence formally recognizes professors and teaching assistants (TAs) within the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies who, like Professor Ian Greene, have immeasurably contributed to student life by being great teachers and leaders. The student-sponsored award aims to acknowledge the concern, commitment and dedication that such TAs and professors display in order to support and promote great teaching within the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies. Moreover, it provides students with the opportunity to express who they deem to be the most successful candidates for higher learning.

Each year, Liberal Arts & Professional Studies students nominate individual TAs and professors who they feel demonstrate teaching Excellence in three general areas of assessment: (1) Student learning experience, (2) teaching and learning Strategies and (3) mentoring. Two awards are given annually, ONE to a professor and ONE to a Teaching Assistant, teaching in a course delivered by the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies.
