Qjiel is a newcomer to Canada navigating what it means to be a settler in traditional territories. He brings his Filipino heritage to encourage spaces to be taken up by the BIPOC community. His time in the Philippines is all about the art of giving to the underrepresented where he dedicated most of his weekends volunteering with children living inside a cemetery.
