I’ve had the distinct privilege to work alongside Catherine since 2006 in multiple roles across both York University and University of Guelph-Humber. Throughout the years, I’ve witnessed Catherine lead and inspire teams with authenticity, warmth, and compassion.  A true collaborator and innovator, she has a way of bringing colleagues together to develop student success initiatives that position students to realize their full potential.  Her passion of elevating student leaders has also resulted in effective programs that have had a tremendous impact on campus. Catherine leads with care and takes time to make those around her feel valued.  A fun and dynamic leader, she always seems to know the latest dance crazes and takes time to debrief on trending Netflix shows or last night’s Raptors game. Forever an inspiration throughout the years, I’m always armed with a notepad, ready to capture a brilliant phrase or innovative solution that she shares so effortlessly. Catherine Salole is truly one of a kind and deserves to be honoured on International Women’s Day.
