I came to know Catherine about 12 years ago and have admired her since then. Leadership has several definitions, most of which are associated with some notion of power. What I find most powerful about Catherine is how she supports and empowers everyone on her team to set goals, get things done, and achieve personal and communal success. Her power is in her genuine ability to make you feel valued.  Throughout the years that I have known her, Catherine has consistently demonstrated that the real strength of a leader lies in the capacity to energize others to believe in themselves and achieve consequential results. Catherine is known to lead change through meaningful dialogue and build communities through connective leadership with care, passion, and genuine enthusiasm.  She is the perfect example of a transformational-transactional leader.  I continue to learn a great deal from her, and I’m so grateful to work under her guidance.
