In the Professional Writing Program, you will experience the types of practices, projects, and activities that professional writers perform, by applying the concepts and theories you’re studying to real world challenges.
In every course, you’ll engage in guided practical experiences that bring workplace issues into the classroom through guest speakers, simulations, case study analysis, or team-based projects that build both collaborative and leadership skills.
As a result, whether you choose to engage in writing in a profession or as a profession, the Professional Writing Program provides you with the academic background and experiences in writing and rhetoric needed to succeed in the world today. Below are samples of student projects that showcase their skills and demonstrate how the program prepares you for a variety of professional writing contexts.
