Accessibility Specialist

York University is committed to supporting a vibrant, inclusive community in which all students can thrive and participate.

The Writing Centre’s Accessibility Specialist, Professor Kate Kaul, has training and experience in teaching diverse learners and multilingual learners, and has an academic background in disability studies.

Appointments with the Accessibility Specialist are available to undergraduate, graduate, pre-university and bridging students at York.

Students registered with York’s Student Accessibility Services have priority access to appointments with the Accessibility Specialist. In addition to a first appointment with any instructor, they can book a second appointment with the Accessibility Specialist (space permitting) each week.
