Fall 2020 and Winter 2021
SC/BIOL 4020 – Genomics. This course covers a wide range of contemporary issues including gene therapy techniques to treat cancer and genetic diseases, diagnostics, and sequencing technology. When class size permits, workshop style bioinformatics assignments are offered.
SC/BIOL 4030 – Proteomics. This course has evolved from covering high throughput methods of protein detection towards understanding protein networks and protein engineering. The shift in curriculum has been in response to a need for more intermediate/advanced biochemistry in the upper levels and to provide some exposure to bioinformatics.
SC/BIOL 5028 – Protein Structure & Bioinformatics. This is a graduate course whose primary objective is to give students practical knowledge in protein structure and bioinformatics tools that will help them in their own research.
