Research Interests
Modelling of Atmospheric Dynamics Professor M.A. Jenkins' research
involves numerical simulation and study of convective--scale fire--atmosphere interactions
important to wildfire behaviour and propagation, as well as the possible impacts of
evolving large--scale atmospheric forcing on the fire and vice versa. A small-scale
atmospheric prediction model is coupled with an empirical fire spread model and the
fire--atmosphere is treated as a single, dynamical system.
