Markham Campus Study Buddy Program

In partnership with Bethune College, Markham students are invited to participate in the Study Buddy Program. This program is designed to help students stay motivated and accountable by pairing them with a study partner. Together, students will share knowledge, build study habits, and support each other in achieving academic goals.

How it Works:

Students can enroll in the program by filling out a simple form, sharing their study preferences, courses, and academic goals.

Courses supported in Winter 2025

MATH 1014: Applied Calculus II

MATH 1028: Discrete Mathematics for Engineers / EECS 1028: Discrete Mathematics for Engineers

MATH 1507: Mathematics II for the Biological and Health Sciences

Based on the information provided, students are matched with study buddies who share similar goals, course load, and study habits.

Matching will be done by pairs or by groups based on student preferences.

Once the matching is done, students will be invited to attend a mandatory 30-minute onboarding session. Students will learn about the program, how to book their study space, and begin setting their academic goals.

Once paired and students attended their onboarding, study buddies can set up regular study sessions, set shared goals, and keep each other accountable.

After each study session, Study Buddies are asked to complete an attendance sheet.

Study Buddy sessions may be held in-person and/or virtually and should be held once per week. Each study session should be scheduled for at least 50 minutes.
