Rate of Pay: $17.20 - $17.50
Hours: Fall/Winter Up to 15hrs/week

Job Purpose:
The Computing Support Assistant is responsible for providing technical support and customer support to end users.
Job Duties:
Under the direction of a permanent staff member, the Technical Support Assistant may be responsible for some or all the following tasks:
- Provide technical support and customer service to users in person, telephone and email through a ticketing system.
- Document and respond to service requests, incidents, and general information requests received at the helpdesk.
- Troubleshoot and resolve computing and account related issues using standard operating procedures.
- Gather information on all requests, tracks incidents, and escalates issues when required. Responsible for monitoring the lab and performing opening and closing produces.
- Conducts computer tutorial sessions or related workshops.
- Deploy, track and maintain computers and equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Skills:
- Must be enrolled as a York student.
- Ability to perform basic troubleshooting of technology and equipment.
- Ability to learn and use a variety of computer applications.
- Ability to recognize and solve problems.
- Ability to communicate with others to explain and share information.
- Ability to present and share ideas to an audience.
