Rate of Pay: $19.00 - $24.50
Hours: Fall/Winter Up to 15hrs/week Summer: Up to 35hrs/week

Job Purpose:
The Graphic Design & Multi-Media Assistant is responsible for supporting the creation of still and multimedia resources.
Job Duties:
Under the direction of a permanent staff member the Graphic Design & Multi-Media Assistant may be:
- Responsible for some or all the following tasks:
- Create print and digital promotional marketing materials.
- Contribute to graphic design and content creation for print and online use.
- Create logos and develop branding for events and campaigns.
- Support the creation of still and motion graphics.
- Edit, update and create webpages.
- Add and edit content and graphical elements to websites.
- Format and upload various medial files on website.
- Suggest and implement improvements and upgrades to websites
- Assist with creating video, audio and multimedia productions.
- Support special event documenting through digital and social media.
- Ensure consistency of brand standards on materials.
- Liaise with others to collaborate on common marketing initiatives.
- Improve and maintain multimedia file management system and inventory.
- Create and maintain media elements for self-serve user guides.
- Supports digitization and cataloguing of archival materials.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Must be enrolled as a York student.
- Ability to use social & digital media to effectively communicate or respond to others.
- Ability to provide insight and suggestions to support individuals in making informed decisions.
- Ability to meet deadlines and organize time effectively.
- Ability to interpret and apply best practices, policies and procedures.
- Ability to generate new ideas or recommend changes to existing programs.
- Ability to update websites and social media platforms.
