Rate of Pay: $17.20 - $17.50
Hours: Fall/Winter: Up to 15hrs/week

Job Purpose:
The Peer Health Educator is responsible for providing peer support and facilitating workshops, training sessions and engagement activities on health education programming.
Lead Duties:
Under the direction of a permanent staff member, the Peer Health Educator may be responsible for some or all the following tasks:
- Facilitate workshops, training sessions and engagement activities on health education programming
- Collaborate with on and off-campus organizations to ensure that all disseminated health information is accurate, up to date, diverse and accessible on public facing platforms
- Collaborate with student groups to integrate programming within other student life activities
- Attend and participate in regular team meetings
- Conducts surveys and utilizes engagement tools to collect and assess data.
- Provide peer-to-peer support at tabling sessions
- Distributes resources and promotional materials
- Navigate, synthesize, and disseminate research
- Plan, create, and maintain engaging social media content
- Support social media initiatives and the development of social media strategies
- Assist with the creation of marketing and digital materials
- Other duties as assigned.
Education & Skills:
- Must be enrolled as a York student. Completed a minimum of 1 year of undergraduate studies. Knowledge and awareness of campus resources.
- Ability to communicate with others to explain and share information Ability to collaborate and work with others to complete a shared goal. Ability to build and maintain relationships.
