York University event to feature experts on Canada’s role in human rights, equity and inclusion
TORONTO, Monday, Oct. 1, 2018 – The relationship between populism and human rights, equity and inclusion in Canada will dominate discussions during a two-day event organized by York University’s Centre for Human Rights, Equity and Inclusion in partnership with Osgoode Hall Law School, the Israel and Golda Koschitzky Centre for Jewish Studies, and the Department of Community Safety. The event, Canada: Inclusion at a Crossroads 2018, will take place at York on October 3 and 4.
The two-day event features experts who will discuss Canada’s ongoing efforts to address anti-Semitism, equity and inclusion in an environment of rising populism and intolerance. The launch of a new book, Racial Profiling and Human Rights in Canada: The New Legal Landscape, will wrap up the two-day event.
