York U expert on climate change available to comment on Ontario government plan

TORONTO, Nov. 29, 2018 – York University Professor Mark Winfield is available for comment today on the Ontario government’s climate change plan, which is expected to be released this afternoon by Rod Phillips, Minister of the Environment, Conservation and Parks.
A professor in the Faculty of Environmental Studies at York, Winfield is an expert on: energy and climate change policy, including carbon pricing; environmental policy including air and water pollution; land use issues regarding Greenbelts, planning and growth; and public safety regulation.
Winfield has written extensively on energy, climate change and environmental policy matters in Ontario and nationally. He is the author of Blue-Green Province: The Environment and the Political Economy of Ontario, a comprehensive study of environmental policy in Ontario, published in 2012.
