York U experts available to comment on the 2019 Ontario Budget

TORONTO, Monday April 8, 2019 – York University experts are available to answer questions about how the 2019 provincial budget will impact the economy.

Joanne Magee is an associate professor of income tax in the Faculty of Liberal and Professional Studies. Magee can comment on income tax law, tax policy for small business and low and middle-income taxpayers.

Amin Mawani is an associate professor at the Schulich School of Business. Mawani can comment on taxation and economic growth, the impact tax policy has on high- and low-income Canadians, as well as all aspects of personal and corporate tax policy.

Thomas Klassen is a professor in the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Professional Studies in the School of Public Policy and Administration. Klassen’s research focuses on Canadian employment and labour market policies. He can comment on federal-provincial relations, government accountability, post secondary education and skills training in the workforce.
