Academics, policymakers to share and explore Filipino diaspora’s achievements and unique challenges
York University and the Philippine Consulate General in Toronto are jointly facilitating the public event, to mark the 75th anniversary of the Canada-Philippines diplomatic ties
In a rare occasion, Filipino-Canadian academic researchers and policymakers will be sitting on a panel, jointly hosted by York University and the Philippine Consulate General in Toronto.
The panellists will share their own personal experiences, both successes and struggles, while exploring possible solutions for unique challenges facing the community. The Philippine Studies Group at York Centre for Asian Studies has organized the public event with the support of York International, which leads the University’s global engagement initiatives and partnerships.
