Media Advisory: York University to host live feed of national Canadian Space Agency initiative announcement

 TORONTO, May 3, 2018 – Media are invited to attend a special national announcement by the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) tomorrow, Friday May 4, 2018. CSA astronaut Jennifer Sidey will unveil the university research teams that have been selected to participate in a new national student space initiative.

The main event will be hosted at the University of Manitoba live and in-person, and universities across Canada, including York, will participate in the announcement via live feed.

York University is home to the only space engineering program of its kind in Canada. York’s Lassonde School of Engineering will participate in the announcement and host a demonstration of equipment.

The press conference at the University of Manitoba will be broadcast live on the Canadian Space Agency’s YouTube channel and via Facebook Live.
