Committees

Committees provide data governance oversight and are the forum where Sponsors, Trustees, and Stewards meet to recommend and enact data governance policies, resolve data governance issues, discuss the data governance framework, etc.

The Data Trusteeship Committee’s goal is to provide oversight over data governance activities, draft, approve and implement appropriate policies and practices, recommend best practices, and resolve any issues escalated by the Data Stewards. The Data Trusteeship Committee is highly strategic in nature.

  • Membership: Data Trustees, members of the data governance team, and key stakeholders from UIT, SSRP, and Faculties.
  • Frequency: 2 times a year.
  • Quorum: 50%.
  • Format: Online.

The Data Stewardship Committee’s goal is to advance data governance work related to data quality, metadata management, and data security, privacy, and compliance. The Data Stewardship Committee is highly operational in nature.

  • Membership: Data Stewards, members of the data governance team, and key stakeholders from UIT, SSRP, and advisory groups.
  • Frequency: 4 times a year.
  • Quorum: 50%.
  • Format: Online.
