The academic calendar is York University’s official reference document for all academic programs, policies, and requirements.

The academic calendar is intended to assist readers in understanding the academic and administrative structure, policies, and procedures of the University and to describe the academic programs offered. Academic calendars are published annually and are based on regulations passed by York University's Senate as well as individual Faculty Councils.

The academic calendar contains the specific requirements of credentials offered at York University, such as degrees, diplomas, certificates and more. The academic calendar also contains University-wide rules and regulations, in addition to the rules and regulations of each Faculty (academic unit).
