User Deprovisioning
Synonym(s): N/A
User deprovisioning is the process of removing access for a particular user from software systems. For example, when an employee leaves the organization, their user profile must be deprovisioned.
Deprovisioning involves a range of processes in addition to altering a user's profile or account settings. Deprovisioning is generally more complicated than simply deleting the user's account. For example, to retain and accurately attribute the user's previous contributions for historical access and documentation, an account must remain in a disabled state.
