ID Clinic

In partnership with the Law Foundation of Ontario, CLASP offers both ID Clinic services and has developed materials to assist community workers and individuals navigate applications for ID documents.

The ID Clinc will help individuals obtain identification so they can access critical services within society. Law students will assist clients with their government documents to try to ease the application process.

We provide assistance with the following identifications:

Tax Dispute Clinic

The Tax Dispute Clinic is the first of its kind that helps low-income people who have received a reassessment letter, or other communication. The Clinic is a partnership with KPMG and Pro Bono Students Canada.

Law students will assist clients requiring legal assistance with tax matters, such as:

  • Disability tax credits/programs
  • Spousal support
  • Child tax benefits
  • Small business tax credits/deductions
  • Housing credits
  • Failure to report income
  • Garnished wages

Please note, at this time, the Tax Dispute Clinic will not be assisting individuals with filing their tax returns but can provide information regarding eligibility for tax credits.

The Tax Dispute Clinic will operate Tuesdays from 9:30am – 4:30pm at the CLASP Office, located within Osgoode Hall Law School. We ask individuals to bring ALL documentation relating to their tax matter including all communications from CRA (reassessment, letter, etc.) and a copy of their income tax return. To book an appointment or inquire for further information, please contact us.
