As we celebrate the holidays, IP Osgoode would like to take this moment to appreciate our IP Osgoode community members’ enthusiasm and support throughout this past year and highlight some of the new and exciting initiatives we have in store for the new year.
2018 was a special year as we celebrated our 10th birthday! We would like to thank our valued members and readership for supporting and participating in a vibrant community that is inclusive of the opinions and interests of a broad range of stakeholders. We look forward to another successful year of engaging in balanced and evidence-based research, and offering new and unexplored viewpoints to public policy discussions.
We will slow down over the holiday period, and in the new year we will kick off with our IP year in review blog and upcoming symposium, “Empowering Women Entrepreneurs: Effective Strategies for IP Commercialization and Success“, on February 11, 2019. The symposium, co-hosted by IP Osgoode and the Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO) will feature an afternoon of mentorship breakout sessions and networking opportunities with women entrepreneurs, experts and mentors. Don’t miss out on an opportunity to learn more about intellectual property (IP) law, best practices for starting a business, and how an IP strategy can contribute to business success. Registration is now open, space is limited so register early!
Stay connected to receive announcements of more upcoming exciting events and activities in the new year! (www.iposgoode.ca, @IPOsgoode)
Warmest thanks & wishes,
