Practical Law

Practical Law

Practical Law is a free academic service provided by Thomson Reuters. It focuses on practice-based research on topics such as capital markets and securities, commercial transactions, competition, corporate and mergers and & acquisitions, employment, finance and litigation.

It provides access to these resources: practice notes, checklists, toolkits, glossary of terms, provincial Q & A, legal updates, standard documents and standard clauses. The standard documents and standard clauses sections contain many useful model forms which supplement the forms available in O’Brien’s encyclopedia of forms.

You can access Practical Law through the Library’s eResources page. Just click on the letter P and then on Practical Law.

For more information, including registration instructions, learning materials and support please see the Practical Law tab on the Online Services Research Guide.
