The Canadian Media Lawyers Association recently launched the Justice Reporter newsletter on their revised Ad IDEM website.  This new online (PDF) newsletter focuses on issues affecting journalism and the law. The newsletter was conceived and is edited by Tracey Tyler, legal affairs reporter at the Toronto Star, and Tony Wong, a litigation partner at Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP specializing in media law, with the aim to catalogue legal problems affecting with free reporting and change policies that thwart the media’s ability to inform the public about its justice system. If you've never visited the Ad IDEM website, it's worth a visit! In addition to news and upcoming events, there are pages featuring a directory of media lawyers in Canada, lists of important cases affecting media law (recent and "classical", with links to the full text), position papers, proposed legislation, and full-text articles.
