In December 2020, Canadian Human Rights Reporter (CHRR), a valued resource for human rights law in Canada, ceased publication after 40 years. While this was a loss to the Canadian legal research community, it was followed with the news that the contents of the publication would soon be made available on CanLii.
As of this May, you will now find the following updates to CanLii’s collection:
- 3,000 court and tribunal decisions published in CHRR
- 825 court and tribunal decisions have been updated with CHRR versions
- 21 years of issues of the Human Rights Digest have been added to CanLII Commentary
- 2,500 references to CHRR documents have now been resolved to documents on CanLII.org, so all CHRR citations to documents on CanLII.org are now linked
Take a look at the collection of CHRR decisions, or the issues of the Human Rights Digest. For related resources, be sure to check out the law library’s Human Rights Law research guide.
