Meet the 2024-2025 Team!

Program Coordinators

Dania Ahmed

Year: 2L

Dania is a 2L student dedicated to social justice causes and expanding access to justice. Drawing from her experiences working with marginalized groups, she is committed to advocating for fairness in the legal sphere. Dania’s interest lies in empowering those who are often overlooked by the legal system, striving to make justice accessible for everyone.

Maddy Kayeye

Year: 3L

Maddy Kayeye is enrolled as a 3L student, having previously graduated from UofT with a major in criminology and socio-legal studies, and a double minor in urban studies and human geography. Her interests lie in criminal law, as well as wills and estates law. Maddy currently serves as a judicial intern at the Ontario Court of Justice and has dedicated her time to volunteering with organizations such as Matthew House, and the Nyantende Foundation. Overall, Maddy looks forward to continuing her role as a program coordinator with PBSC for the upcoming school year!

Bhargavi Munshi

Year: 2L

I am an incoming 2L with Osgoode, I enjoy working out and reading, and have an undergraduate degree in Psychology. I am broadly interested in public interest law.

Consumer Protection Project Lead

Sarah McPherson

Year: 2L

Sarah is an incoming 2L student at Osgoode with a strong interest in advocacy. She previously attended Queen’s University, where she studied Sociology and Health Studies. She is passionate about advancing access to justice and seeking out new ways to support her community. She began working for the Consumer Protection Legal Clinic as a 1L Student Volunteer, and is excited to continue supporting the clinic in her role as Project Lead this year!

Refugee Centre Project Lead

Denise Zhu

Year: 3L

Denise is a 3L student dedicated to furthering social justice in the legal field. She holds an English degree and is currently enrolled in the Intensive Program in Immigration and Refugee Law. She recently worked as a summer law student at the FCJ Refugee Centre and is excited to continue supporting uprooted individuals and providing guidance to volunteers for PBSC at the FCJ this year.

Wills Project Lead

Armin Shakeri

Year: 2L

Armin Shakeri graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. His undergraduate degree played a pivotal role in his commitment to access to justice by highlighting the challenges marginalized groups face in accessing legal resources. While at law school, Armin developed a keen interest in Property Law. He hopes to combine this interest with his commitment to access to justice to promote a positive change.
