Company Description

The Get REAL Movement is a Canadian national non-profit organization whose mission is to combat 2SLGBTQ+ discrimination, racism & bullying in schools, summer camps, and workplaces.

We accomplish this through two core areas of focus: education - offering DEI-focused Workshops for students, teachers, parents, and workplaces, and by producing online and in-person resources, including curriculum pieces, posters, videos, and merchandise - and youth support - through our University Chapter, High School After-School, our 2SLGBTQ+ Virtual Counselling Programs, and our Summits.

Our impact report, which provides a full breakdown of our programming, resources, and events can be viewed at www.thegetrealmovement.com/impact!

The services we sell are:

  1. Engaging educational workshops (both in-person and virtual) and educational online video modules focused around DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion), combating prejudice, unconscious bias, and creating inclusive schools and workplaces; Engaging, educational, and down-to-earth workshops (both in-person and virtual) and educational online video modules focused around DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion), combating unconscious bias, and fostering inclusive workplaces of support, for all employees to thrive!
  1. Consulting, of much the same nature but also expanding to specific policy reviews and best practice recommendations
  2. Educational merchandise (www.wegetreal.ca) as a means of wearing our message of acceptance and celebrating diversity, while raising important funds for our organization's programming year round (www.thegetrealmovement.com/impact). Community & Social Impact

We started Get REAL when we were in university ourselves, and so we always love working with universities and colleges whenever we get the chance - whether through our merchandise, with our numerous University and College Bookstore Wholesale Partners, or through our educational workshops and consulting work with Orientation Week Leaders, Professors and University Staff, and everyone in between - as those are our (proud) roots!
