Available PDF, PhD and Masters positions:
Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (Masters and PhD)

School of IT (Masters only)

Qualifications:

  • Education: PhD in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Research Experience: A minimum of 5 published journal papers in the field of cybersecurity, with at least some focus on learning systems or related topics.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Strong background in learning systems, particularly with large language models (LLMs).
    • Familiarity with industrial engineering principles and applications.
    • Experience in software product design and implementation.
    • Proficiency in Python programming and familiarity with relevant libraries and frameworks.
  • Interdisciplinary Skills: Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines, particularly at the intersection of cybersecurity and industrial engineering.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to publish and present research findings effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with other programming languages and tools relevant to cybersecurity and learning systems.
  • Knowledge of industrial automation, software engineering, or smart manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning as they apply to cybersecurity.
  • Experience in mentoring or supervising students in a research setting.

Requirements:

MSc or BSc in Computer Science or Engineering.
Strong work ethic skills.
Strong programming skills in any language.
Excellent mathematical background, especially Linear Algebra.
Previous experience in the applied domain is appreciated, though it is not mandatory.
Experience working with machine learning or deep learning classifiers is expected.
Proficiency in data science operations.
