Moodle tools: Glossary

What if you want a student to post material and have the rest of the class view and comment?  The Wiki module might be overkill, as is the Workshop module.  Maybe the Glossary module is light enough.

Here, I’m setting it up to permit comments on entries.

There are different styles of Glossaries… Dictionary, Encyclopedia, FAQ, etc.

This is what the student sees when they enter information.  They can add attachments in addition to the text.

Other students can then search through by topic name or by student name.

Students can comment, but so can profs.  It appears that profs can also erase comments, based on the garbage can on the right of the following screenshot.

Also, if you wish to require students submit something and to keep track of “completed activities” they try the following:
