Schulich members receive Queen's Diamond Jubilee medals

Three members of York’s Schulich School of Business community were honoured Monday for their significant contributions and achievements as recipients of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal.

Dean Dezsö Horváth, the Tanna H. Schulich Chair in Strategic Management, James Gillies, dean emeritus, and Kelly Parke, an adjunct faculty member in Schulich’s MBA program who was previously honoured at a Royal Canadian Institute ceremony, were presented with medals by David Onley, lieutenant governor of Ontario, June 18 at Roy Thomson Hall in Toronto.

Dezsö Horváth

Horvath and Gillies received the medal as members of the Order of Canada. The medals were created to mark the 60th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II's accession to the Throne.
