Separate and Unequal? A study of the aging of immigrant and Canadian-born older adults across different urban forms

This research built on work WoodGreen began in 2013 with a project that explored the broad topics of seniors and housing. This project built on this earlier work and explored issues tied to migration and resilience. Analysis compared and examined the state of older immigrants, also providing comparative groups with each wave of immigrants as well as with Canadian-born adults.

This project consisted of topical research summaries which included relevant research items and literature review. The activities that this project included were community report-backs to partner organizations, neighbourhood residents, and policy makers. This project’s products included were plain language research reports and knowledge dissemination through launch, news articles, community meetings, conference & community presentations, and web-based sharing platforms.
