York University continues to respond to the urgent regional needs presented by the COVID-19 pandemic by providing essential medical supplies that will help thousands of health care workers stay safe.
On April 9 and 10, York’s Faculty of Health delivered over 49,000 pairs of medical gloves to Humber River Hospital, 1,000 pairs to Bethany Lodge, a senior care facility in Markham and 3,000 N95 masks to Mackenzie Health Hospital in Vaughan. Just two weeks earlier, Dean Paul MacDonald delivered 3,200 masks, 6,200 medical gloves and a ventilator to Mackenzie Health.
Every effort contributes to the fight against COVID-19. York will continue to do its part to assist our health care partners in these challenging times.
