Deputy Minister Shawn Batise (Matachewan First Nation)  AND Elder Vince Pawis

Deputy Minister Batise will be discussing his experiences as an Indigenous person working within the government, reflections on settler governance and bringing his whole self to governmental work.

Elder Pawis will be discussing linking Traditional Teachings to the roles of social policy and governance. His work has focused on building bridges to support Indigenous self-determination as the Executive Director and founder of the White Buffalo Road Healing Lodge.
