Primary Supervisor: Mina Hoorfar
Somayeh Fardindoost was born in Iran. She received her MSc. and Ph.D. degrees in nanophysics from Sharif University of Technology, Iran in 2009, and 2015, respectively. During her MSc and Ph.D. programs, she focused on the fabrication and characterization of nanomaterials and nanostructures for sensing applications. Then, she joined as a post-doctoral researcher at Sharif university of technology. Her research and teaching experience consists of five years of experience working as a Research Assistant and supervising graduate students in their research projects. She is now working as a postdoctoral research fellow in the Microfluidics and Nanotechnology Laboratory (MiNa Lab) of Prof. Mina Hoorfar, at the University of Victoria. Her research focuses on gas sensors, biosensors, and breath analyzers for environmental and health monitoring.
