Abbas Motalebizadeh is a Ph.D. Candidate in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Victoria, specializing in microfluidics, biomarkers, and environmental detection technologies. He has developed a high-precision diagnostic device using microfluidic paper-based methods and innovative hydrophobic barriers on paper. Abbas leads the research and design team at MiNa Lab, UVic, focusing on the selective detection of microplastics in water. His expertise also includes using PDMS kits for heavy metal detection and designing sensors for biological and environmental applications. Abbas is committed to advancing environmental safety through scientific excellence and innovative research.
