We have almost reached our goal of raising $5000 for the Barbara Godard Prize for the best dissertation in Canadian Studies, but we are still a few hundred dollars short. Our intention is to fund this prize for ten years at $500 a year. As you have already heard, Dr Jaime Yard from the Anthropology graduate programme is the first recipient of this award. She is also the winner of the Canadian Studies Network – Réseau d’études canadiennes dissertation prize. We will start the process of adjudicating the 2013 winner early in the new year. If you are able to help with an end-of-year donation, please go to: www.godardprize.ca
All good wishes,
Colin Coates
