First Robarts Centre Visiting Professors in Canadian Studies Announced

The Robarts Centre will welcome two international scholars in 2015-16 recipients of the new Visiting Professorship in Canadian Studies.

Professor Shilpa Bhat will come to York University from the B. K. Majumdar Institute of Business Administration, Ahmedabad University, in Gujarat, India, where she teaches World literature and Indian literature in translation…. She is a specialist in diaspora literature and is particularly interested in the work of M. G. Vassanji.

Marcin Grabyś, professor in the Institute of American Studies and Polish Diaspora at Jagiellonian University, Kraków, Poland. A specialist in Canadian politics, he will pursue research on Arctic governance in Nunavut, Nunavik, Inuvialuit and Nunatsiavut.
