York University’s Indigenous Environmental Justice Symposium – May 26, 2016

You are invited to York University’s Indigenous Environmental Justice Symposium featuring visiting experts across the Canada and the United States.  Organized by Deborah McGregor, the Canada Research Chair in Indigenous Environmental Justice, the event will take place on Thursday, May 26 from 8:30am- 5:00pm at the Helliwell Centre, Osgoode Hall Law School, York University.

The Indigenous environmental Justice (IEJ) knowledge sharing symposium is intended to initiate dialogue on the following questions:

  • What does EJ mean in Canada, in an Indigenous context and from an Indigenous perspective?
  • What is currently known about IEJ in Canada?

This event is sponsored by Osgoode Hall Law School and the Faculty of Environmental Studies, York University, and the Faculty of Communications, Art & Design, Seneca College.
