Applications are open for the International Council for Canadian Studies Postdoctoral Fellowship Grants and Graduate Scholarships.
Deadline to submit to ICCS: November 24, 2017. Applications must include a letter of recommendation from the Canadian Studies Network (internal deadline: October 31).
Decisions will be made prior to March 1st.
Postdoctoral Fellowship Grants
Objective: To enable Canadian and foreign scholars who have completed a doctoral thesis (within the last 5 years) on a topic primarily related to Canada and are not employed in a full-time, university teaching position (10-year track) to visit a Canadian or foreign university with a Canadian Studies program for a teaching or research fellowship.
Postdoctoral Fellowships are worth $2,500 per month plus the cost of a return airline ticket for a maximum of $10,000.
Graduate Scholarships:
To facilitate the renewal of the community of Canadianists by supporting the work of young scholars, by enabling successful candidates to spend 4-6 weeks at a Canadian university or research site other than their own doing research related to their thesis or dissertation in the field of Canadian Studies. Available to students in the social sciences or humanities who are in the process of preparing a graduate thesis or doctoral dissertation on Canada. (Master's/Ph.D. level)
Note: The scholarship is not intended to initiate a thesis or dissertation but rather to provide access to crucial scholarly information and resources in Canada in support of a thesis/dissertation at the point of being written.
Graduate Scholarships are worth up to $4,000 for all expenses.

The International Council for Canadian Studies (ICCS) is an incorporated non-profit organization governed by a Board of Directors and an elected four-member Executive Committee with a permanent Secretariat based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
