Graduate Programs in Northern Studies at Carleton U

CalretonU

Carleton University is pleased to announce graduate programs in Northern Studies that will begin in September 2017. The purpose of the programs is to provide opportunities for students to learn how to recognize and support wise decision making in the public and private sectors. The programs are intensive, one-year, interdisciplinary, course-based Master degrees and Graduate Diplomas. Students may take MA or MSc degrees. The programs include experiential learning in workplace placements and two field courses. One of the field courses is required by all students and will take place at the beginning of the program in northern Ontario.   The programs may be taken on a full-time or part-time basis.  The programs are hosted by the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies, in collaboration with the School of Public Policy and Administration, the Institute of Canadian Studies, and the Departments of Sociology and Anthropology, Earth Sciences, and Biology.
