Molade Osibodu is an assistant professor of education at York University. Her research interests include understanding how to make mathematics humanizing for Sub-Saharan African youth; harnessing mathematics education to redress injustices related to race (particularly anti-Blackness), equity, and power; and exploring African immigrant and refugee math experiences; and African indigenous mathematics practices. Dr. Osibodu situates her work in the realm of critical mathematics education and is guided by decolonial theory, along with decolonizing, participatory, and critical methodologies in her research.
