Ted Goossen (Humanities) will speak at a 20 May 2014 Canada Japan Society event on Japanese literature, and the booming global popularity of Haruki Murakami. The event will include readings from Haruki’s first novella, “Hear the Wind Sing”, due to be published next year, and the fourth and latest issue of Monkey Business International, the first Japanese literary magazine to be made available in an English version. Goossen co-edits the journal with Motoyuki Shibata. For more information: http://canadajapansociety.blogspot.ca/
