Opportunity | Dissertation Workshop | 24 March 2016

The York Centre for Asian Research (YCAR) and the Graduate Program in Humanities are offering a dissertation workshop for MA and PhD students on March 24, 2016 from 2.30 – 7 p.m. The purpose of the workshop is

1. to generate academic discussion emerging out of students’ coursework in relationship to students’ own projects,
2. to become familiar with each other’s thinking and writing,
3. to provide constructive feedback and responsible critique on students’ writing and use of methodology in particular.

Graduate students interested in participating at this workshop with a chapter, essay or other piece of writing (such as a SSHRC proposal) are asked to contact the dissertation workshop organizer Dr. Shobna Nijhawan (shobna@yorku.ca) by March 5th.
