Baohua Wang (Communication University of China, Beijing), joined YCAR as visiting scholar in October 2017. He is currently working with Qiang Zha (Faculty of Education) focusing on media literacy and crisis response capabilities of Chinese government officials in the internet age.
Wang is professor at the Communication University of China and Deputy Director of its Collaborative Innovation Center. His research engages with higher education management and media research on higher education. From 1992 to 1993, he was a visiting scholar at the Faculty of Education, University of Alberta, where he studied the management of education. From 1986 to 2007, he worked in the National Academy of Educational Administration where he held several roles: editor of its journal, secretary of the President, deputy director then director of the General Office, director of the research division, and director of the department of education administrative teaching and research.
Wang will be at YCAR until February 2018.
