Salvo is a doctoral student in Social Work at York University. He holds a BPharm from the Marmara University, a BA in Psychology from York University, and an MSW from Wilfrid Laurier University. He completed the Military Officer Training program and served as a medical officer before working as a community pharmacist. His current research interests include social justice and solidarity, homelessness and mental health, decolonizing Western healthcare systems, quantifying savings related to generic drugs and biosimilars, and reallocating excessive drug spending in developing countries.
