Cindy’s passion is working with people to create community, whether in the field of health, human rights or disability rights. Her research areas include social inequities in health, particularly mental health and disability health promotion among racialized populations. Cindy’s research projects include working on a large national study looking at how to reduce the stigma of mental illness among Asian men in Canada as well as a local project looking to diversify mental health curriculum with racialized mad artists. In the community, she has worked with arts-based non-profits and shares her disability and accessibility knowledge to local BC arts-based festivals.
