Daisy is a doctoral student in the Department of History at York University. Her research focuses on transnational medical networks between Europe and East Asia during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. In particular, she explores the intersection of French medical influence in China and the medical history of South China by examining the educational journeys and life trajectories of French-educated medical students from Guangdong, China.

Daisy received her BA in English Language and Literature from Sun Yat-sen University, China, and MA in International History and Politics from the Geneva Graduate Institute (Institut de hautes études internationales et du développement), Switzerland in 2022.
