David Kyungwon Lee is a contract faculty in the Department of Economics at York University. He received his PhD degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and has taught at several universities in Korea, the United States and Canada, and once worked as a research associate specializing in social welfare at the Seoul Institute in Korea. He has published papers, some of which have been included in international economic journals, the Journal of Risk and Insurance, and the Journal of Insurance Issues. He is the author of the Toronto Metropolitan University’s online textbook, Introductory Macroeconomics and the University of Nebraska’s distance education textbook Principles of Insurance.

He is also the author of several books, including Cointegration and VAR, Unemployment Policies in Seoul Metropolitan Government, The Use of Married Women as a Labor Force in Seoul, and Demands and Policies' Implications of Social Welfare in Seoul, among others.

Currently, he teaches corporate finance, the use of economic data, statistics, economic growth and development, and macroeconomics. His research is focused on Korean economic development, economics education, and exchange rates and economic stability.
